New creative lab in Paris

On the 1st of March 2019, Rue Cortambert in the heart of Paris has become home to LUZI´s new creative lab in the French capital.

“It is of great importance for us to have our finger constantly on the pulse of the perfume industry and to capture the spirit of this bustling metropolis in our creations.” Roland Altenburger, CEO Switzerland and Head of Creations.

Mark Buxton (Senior Perfumer) and David Chieze (Junior Perfumer) are introducing the latest creative trends in Paris to our fragrance creations and are in constant contact with our perfumers at our company headquarters in Switzerland as well as in Malaysia.

LUZI is excited to welcoming the two new perfumers to its creative team.

Mark Buxton, Senior Perfumer
Born in England, he grew up close to Hamburg and fell in love with Paris over 20 years ago.
Mark is above all a hedonist, wine connoisseur, talented cook, with a passion for antiques, especially for art deco style.
He designed fine fragrance for the biggest luxurious brands such as Givenchy, Versace, Van Cleef & Arpels, Paco Rabanne, Lagerfeld, Burberrys, Cartier, Chopard, Ferré…

David Chieze, Junior Perfumer
Born and raised in France, David has always been into perfume.
From his kind souvenirs in his childhood of the fresh smell of the pinewoods to the discovery of variety of smells in cities, David became obsessed by perfumes.
He has both a chemist and perfumer background. He started to work at L’Artisan Parfumeur as a perfume advisor. He has learned all about the world of fine fragrances from his first master Bertrand Duchaufour and now from his current master Mark Buxton.
