LUZI (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a leading fragrance compound manufacturer with international operations, is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Junior Sales Manager to join its team in Johor, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • To offer and sell our products for all possible product categories according to LUZI conditions, guidelines and priorities for the Malaysian market

  • Implementing the defined corporate and sales goals according to the given corporate policy and sales strategy

  • Expanding the assigned market by acquiring new customers and supporting existing customers in accordance with LUZI's guidelines and strategy.

  • Ensures and maintains sustainable and compliant sales processes according Malaysian and global corporate company guidelines.

  • Delivers expected results in performance, cost and quality of the work.

  • Active, independent acquisition, maintenance and full support of the customers assigned by the RSD & Sales Manager Malaysia in accordance with the specified sales strategy.

  • Supports the Sales Manager Malaysia in the daily business as well as project and marketing related tasks

  • Supports Malaysian Market Intelligence and develops/supports Sales Strategy for Malaysia.

  • Forward technical requirements and questions to the evaluation, perfumery and marketing and follow up on a feedback or option for the customer

  • Independent preparation and execution of customer meetings and presentation of reactive and proactive product solutions

  • Procurement, analysis and interpretation of relevant market information to identify future growth opportunities – Development of targeted strategy, measures and project planning

  • Budget responsibility for the assigned markets and customers  

  • Responsibility for monitoring and reporting of relevant key figures (pricing, margins, payment agreements, etc.)

  • Developing product solutions and marketing concepts in accordance with customer, market and consumer needs for the markets/customers assigned.

  • Project processing in cooperation with the company's internal interfaces, including sampling, documentation and quotation of product solutions.

  • Follow-up of projects, offers and test results

  • Regular on-site customer visits

  • Maintain and update individual customer logbooks on a daily basis for any sales activity done (date, persons, time, discussed topics, outcomes, projects, to do’s for the team, important input about the market)

Further Additional Responsibilities will be an added advantage:


  • Supports Marketing in Market intelligence, analysis, trendspotting continuous monitor, analyses category movements, product launches, and the olfactive landscape in consumer products.

  • Supports QA / Logistics in handling customer and consumer complaints and in investigations and corrective actions execution.

  • Participation in relevant trade fairs in the sales region as required


  • 1-3 years’ experience in Sales, Sales Backoffice or Marketing

  • Ideally experience in the fragrance industry or similar chemical industry

  • Any experience in the fields of chemistry, cosmetics is an advantage

  • Experience in project support

  • Diploma/Degree in Science, preferably in Chemistry Major

  • Strong personality with sound interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Pleasant, well-groomed, confident and winning appearance

  • Good manners

  • Very good communication skills

  • Structured, independent, reliable and result-oriented working style
